Wow, I am very lucky then. The employees in my Vons (who don't know whether I'm using coupons or not when I'm just pushing my cart up and down the aisle) are all extremely friendly. And there is one cashier in particular who is very coupon-friendly. She will ask me where I got certain Qs and always makes sure everything goes through. I have only had trouble with one cashier, in fact.

When the Kleenex deal was going on a few weeks ago, where we were all rolling Cats and getting Kleenex for, like, 36 cents for four boxes, I worked the deal at two different Vons and had no problems at all -- cashiers at both stores were congratulatory.

I'm sorry you're in an area where Vons is coupon-averse. Like I said, I guess I'm really lucky!

I agree. I have never been in a Pavilions/Vons (especially for any OYNO-type promotions like the one being discussed here) where I have been treated kindly as a coupon shopper. Managers and staff have been quite rude to me, including several instances where I have had to wait for 30+ minutes just to resolve something because their staff messed up and marked the wrong item. I just chalked it up to the fact that these stores are located next to hoity-toity neighborhoods with parking lots full of luxury cars and people in Juicy tracksuits that have money to throw away (naturally not coupon-minded people, so we are kind of out of place) - but I am very disheartened to hear that it's not just stores near me.
And it's only gotten worse with the economy downturn. If stores are going to look upon couponing as taking money from their paychecks, they should just have a no-coupon policy to stop us coupon thieves from fleecing them. End of story.

Come to Riverside! The Mira Loma store at Limonite and the I-15 is where I have been treated with friendliness and kindness on almost every visit.

I shop at the Riverside Plaza store downtown less frequently, but I've never had a problem there either.

Even when an OYNO Cat didn't print out and I've had to ask for assistance (one time, a young girl who had just started working there had to go with me to track down whether I'd bought the right items) the employees have been friendly and nice, never rude.

I love the I.E.!
