So Cal Connection 8/27 -9/2 Vons Alternative

I just did the Fuze deal and got 3 Tangerines...got the Catalina.

Went to store #2 and got 4 of the Black and Green Tea (to try them)..used the previous Catalina....NO Catalina printed form this one. Dont know if its b/c its a new flavor and not coded to trigger the Catalina or what happened.

The 1st Cat printed even before I put in my Vons Club #...waited on purchase #2 to put in Vons Club # just in case it was tied to the Club Card....still no Catalina for purchase #2.

Anyone else experience the same thing with the Tea flavors??

Just stopped in at Vons before work, got 4 Fuze Regular Green Tea (had 2 B1G1F)...it triggered the Catalina. Entered Vons card after the Catalina printed, so I have a feeling, the Black and Green Tea may not trigger the Catalina. Gonna try and roll the Catalina on the same order and see if its able to be rolled using same flavor of teas I just bought.

I went to superior today and the check out guy said that they've been getting a lot of first time customers from vons/ralphs. I've seen some good deals on a few things from ralphs or von's but I have to add in the price of gas and if I'm only getting two thing's it's not really worth it for me to stop.

At my Ralphs, Jenny-O Turkey franks were 99 cents. I had the 55 cent MQ that came out sometime ago in the Red Plum insert that said for turkey franks Scoob Doo. I didn't see any Scoob Doos, but the coupon works for the one on sale. So, FREE franks after doubling to 99 cents.

So what did you think of Superior?
Which store did you go to?
Just wondering if all the stores are a nice as the Chino store.
Did you see the smaller Perts on clearance for under $2? If you find them they are free with the Pert $2 off.
This is a new store for many of us so please tell us what you think and what you found.

Superior is one of the stores that I usually watch because they do have some very good ad/Q price match ups. However, no not all the stores are great. The one in downtown Riverside is not very clean and the traffic/parking is often crazy. Still I go there for the super good priced deals. They have very cheap produce but like some of the other cheap produce stores, you really have to watch what you are buying. If you are eating it soon, cutting up for salads, basically don't need A grade produce or are fine with spending a lot of time looking over the stock to find the best ones, it's worthwhile. I won't buy from here to make a relish tray to take to a party, but I'll grab things to go in a salad or soup in the next day or two.

I think for many of the stores, it's about location/manager rather than corporate policies when it comes to cleanliness, stocked shelves, etc. Some stores go way out to ensure helpful service, but seems many people are currently boycotting those. lol
