I do find great deals a HOWs once in a while & I like that they will take at least 3 of the same Qs But none will double any of the DND. THEY READ everything!

Ok, so I called the numbers listed above, I spoke to Brian's office. I was told for all media inquires to call Daymond Rice at 626-821-7897, so I called. Of course I got his voice mail, the voice mail said "if you are media on a dead line to email him at daymond.rice@safeway.com"

So now I will be emailing him,and writing an article for ICNN regarding this.

Oh my god! That is so upsetting! How are we supposed to survive? The economy sucks, food prices are getting higher, I'm sure we haven't even felt the full effects of the floods in the Midwest yet, and now this! Grrr! I am writing alot of letters.

This is not good. The only reason that I would continue to shop at Von's would be for the United Airlines mileage. I guess we need to start keeping track of deals at Hows, even though they are very picky, double is double.

I am writing a post for Ireport on CNN regarding this. I have a question, what is the proper term? couponer? or what would be the word for a person who uses coupons?

This was the response I got:

The grocery business is highly competitive and we frequently refine our promotions based on the market. To that point, beginning August 20, our double coupon policy will be slightly modified. If a coupon is less than or equal to $.50, its value will be doubled, as usual. If a coupon is more than $.50, but is $1.00 or less, its value will be capped at $1.00. All coupons more than $1.00 will be redeemed at their face value.
