We have many new people on the Vons thread.
Let's help them out and tell them which stores double and any other info you would like to share.
Best time of day to shop.
Best day of the week to shop and so on.
If the store has poor stock.
Poor customer service just don't put the persons name.
Just general helpful information.

I will start
Vons Upland California Euclid & Foothill
Yes they double
Manager is very nice and easy to talk to.
Staff for the most part are helpful and easy going.
3 cashiers are the coupon police so if you shop at this store get to know who's line to avoid. If you need to know who send me a PM.
Ad tags for weekly ads are usually up the day before the ad starts.
AM best time to shop PM lower on stock.
Over all on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being best I would give them a 9

Chase and Highway 94 - YES they double
vons across from the mall on el camino real carlsbad: YES!
the cashiers are pretty friendly and so is customer service. the only thing that bugs me is the 18 times i'm asked if i need help. but that is part of their job and they get marked down on secret shops if they don't. so, i try not to let it bother me.

Santee store....most cashiers double (best cashiers are in the afternoon or evening)
Lakeside store...most cashiers double
Mission Gorge Road store by Qualcomm stadium double (only have been to this store 1 or 2 times)
All the stores above double coupons, but some cashiers look at each coupon and even if it says DND, it appears some allow it to double, and others do something so that it doesnt double when they scan the coupon.

Vons in Oceanside 76/College:
Regular Q's - double
IP's - YMMV based on the cashier

Best time of the day to shop: mornings
Customer service: Good. But does have a few coupon police
Scale: 8.5

Vons in Huntington Beach - Magnolia/Atlanta - yes they double.

Pavillion's in Huntington Beach on Beach Blvd - yes they double.

Vons in Mission Viejo - Marguerite/Oso - yes they double.

At all these stores, it depends on the checker, as far as how closely they scrutinize your coupons or undo "Do Not Doubles" that automatically double.

Vons in Victorville doubles and in Murrieta.
I like going at night when it is busy. They run the coupons thru faster, so they can get you thru faster and not have a long line.

Vons in Clairemont (San Diego city)

Balboa: Yes, they double
IP's: have always doubled for me
Best time to shop: early morning, larger store and inventory goes fast, but I'm usually able to get the sale items
Customer Service: good to o.k. "Manager" is not on top of promos. Also not up on coupon usage "rules". (Told DH that you cannot use the "free" Coke rewards Q on a B2G2F, since "you can't get items for free")

Clairemont Drive: Yes, they double
IP's: YMMV, there are a couple of Coupon ****s there. I've also been questioned about using IPs
Best time to shop: early morning, smaller store so inventory gets depleated very fast, not quick to re-stock
Customer Service: Good ~ better than the Balboa store if you stay away from the Coupon ****s. The people at the CS Desk have always been great if I have a problem. The regular Baggers in the morning are great and friendly too.

Yes mine double Simi Valley

Vons Lake Elsinore- Grape St. doubles
Vons Corona- Ontario & Main doubles

Pavilions Irvine Portola - doubles and the assistant mgr. said no plans to changing policy like Ralph's.. Also been alot busier now since Ralph's changed.

Garden Grove - on Chapman / Valley View Yes they double
Both Vons on El Norte Pkwy. both double all the staff at both of these stores are real nice and very helpful.
so does the one on Centre city Pwky and they have a wonderful supervisor there he even uses coupons
and the one on Citrus and Valley Pwky doubles

Vons Burbank, Pass Ave.
Yes they double
Manager can be nice, but not always.
Staff for the most part are helpful and easy going.. a few of the older checkers are super sweet, but the younger ones (20's) you can tell really don't want to be there
The coupon police is a toss up..I've found one woman who I always try to go to.
Ad tags for weekly ads are not usually up early.
AM best time to shop PM lower on stock.. they're slow with restocking.

Vons Studio City, Laurel Canyon and Ventura Blvd. Pass Ave.
Yes they double
Manager not nice or helpful, beware.
Staff are not knowledgable.. no one is ever in the bakery, I've seen a woman there once. Men in seafood are always nice. As well as the baggers.
Every single checker is coupon cop, except for one.

It seems like they rarely stalk, and asking for a raincheck is like asking someone to move a mountain.
Over all on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being best I would give them a 5

Mira Loma at Hamner and Limonite - yes doubles
Also has gas station currently offering an extra 5 cent/gallon discount if you pay with cash at the new "on the island" cash machines. Combined with the 10 cent/gallon discount when you spend $50 this makes for cheapest gas I can find around here. I paid $4.38 last week when everywhere else was at least $4.55 (7/1/08)
Beware of a few coupon cop cashiers, I haven't learned their names yet.
Mira Loma at Hamner and Limonite - yes doubles
- Accepts IPs.
- Allows stacking manufacturer coupons with Vons Super Coupons.
- At least sometimes credits overage if manufacturer coupon when doubled exceeds price of product. (Don't know if this Vons does this all the time with all coupons, but it's happened to me on three products where the coupon when doubled exceeded the price by one cent in the last three weeks.)
- Excellent customer service. Very friendly.
- Only know of one coupon cop cashier, I'll take your word there are more!
- Very large, clean store with good selection of most items


Riverside at Central and Riverside Dr - yes doubles
Very good bakery selection with those filled muffins!


Riverside at La Sierra & Magnolia - yes doubles
great customer service during day/evening hours but has somewhat limited selection on some products like they don't sell Tava drinks.

Von's on Grand ave, Covina doubles all coupons

Vons on Arrow hwy, Glendora doubles although some cashiers will not double dnd coupons

Vons on Colorado, Pasadena doubles all coupons

Vons on Glendora Ave, West Covina doubles all coupons
