Re: Freezing Fruit I don't know about pears, but bananas do freeze well. It just depends on what you plan on doing with them. Just put the entire unpeeled bananas in the freezer. When reading to use (for baking, like banana bread), then remove from freezer, let defrost a bit, snip off end of banana & squeeze into batter.
Another way to freeze bananas is for treats. Take a banana, peel, put a stick in it, dip in chocolate, roll in nuts if you like & freeze. We used to make these at DQ all the time & they sold very well.
