Have you frozen Jalapenos?
I want to make some Jalapeno jelly later on.
I have some peppers but not enough yet.
Can I just freeze them until I have enough to make the jelly?
If so, do I cut them up?
thanks, pokey

Re: Have you frozen Jalapenos?
I did it with red bells.
The recipe called for you to roast them so you could peel the skin, I did that part before I froze them. made the jelly later...perfect

Re: Have you frozen Jalapenos?
I freeze jalapenos all the time, thaw them out and use them in recipes. The only time I wouldn't is if they were ones I wanted to grill with cheese & bacon, don't think that would work. But I've even used some of the frozen ones in salad (finely chopped), just take out and thaw. Works fine.

Re: Have you frozen Jalapenos?
Thanks for the replys. I freeze bell peppers too but wasn't sure about freezing the jalapenos for the jelly.
I will freeze them untill I can make the jelly.
