best place to find cheap airfare

hi all,

I would like to take DS to visit my grandparents before his second birthday. Money is tight and we just won't be able to afford two tickets once we need to pay for him.

I don't fly often, so I am wondering if any of you know the next websites for getting cheap airfare. I know the major ones, but was wondering if there are any smaller ones that offer good rates.

Also, my aunt has offered to pay part of the ticket if I add a third leg and go to see her. The ticket would be from MSP to SEA, or BLI, to LAX and back to MSP. I would like to travel between Jan 10-18, but anytime between new years and Jan 19 works. His birthday is Jan 20 so I would have to return before then. Thanks for the help

try airfarewatchdog.com and search on deals from MSP - they update it 1x a day, so you may have to look for a couple of days

the problem is the local taxes at MSP make almost everything at that airport fairly expensive, i remember having to pay $75 for a one day rental of an economy car

remember, most airlines if you book the ticket directly thru that airline's website will price match themselves should the fare drop, so after you buy it you should keep checking the price every day as you can usually get another discount

i think you will ended paying nearly double if now triple to add the third leg. i did find on united airline rt for two adults $450.00.

I never seen ANYTHING cheap at an airport! They know you are stuck there and charge what they want to.

We just got a really good deal using vayama.com

We bought an international flight for Dh and it was almost 1/2 the price we found it everywhere else. You might give it a try. I don't know what prices would be for domestic flights.

Try to go to Southwest.com. They have a ping you can get and it will send you deals that are for like 1-2 days. If you have the money to buy on short notice it is GREAT!
