Im about an hour from Nashville and I dont even know lol
My dh and I are going to Nashville this weekend as our yearly anniversary celebration. We don't have any real plans on what we are doing- we don't even have hotel reservations! Does anyone have any ideas on where to eat? There is a thread from a couple of months ago that had some good suggestions, but I'm wondering if anyone has any more ideas. And what about things to do? I suggested going to a show at the Grand Ol Opery, but my dh wasn't excited about it. We don't really like to drink so probably won't be going to any bars, but enjoy touring the bourbon distilleries here in Kentucky. We arn't looking for something that has a lot of crowds. I love history, and my dh will indluge me in some historical stuff. I'd like for cheap things to do, but we have a little money set aside so something that costs a little more isn't out of the question. Obviously if it's something that we have to make reservations for we may not have time, but I'd still love to hear those suggestions also! So, basically any suggestions on good places to eat and fun things to do would be appreciated!

Definitely go to the the Frist Center. We went in October, and they had some very nice displays. We saw everything from a real mummy(awesome!) to some fantastic modern art. I think it's $10 per person to get in, but it was totally worth it.
We liked Bar B Cuties for a yummy lunch. The fruit tea was my favorite of anywhere I've ever had it. It was like sweet tea with pineapple juice or something. For dinner one night, we went to the Opry Backstage. It had a limited menu and was a littler pricy ($40 for DH & I to each get an entree and soda), but it was a good experience. The servers sang on a mini Opry stage in slow times.
And honestly, I did not think I would like the Opry when my hubby suggested it, but I LOVED it. I've been twice, and both times were so much fun. There was a good mix of old and new music.
As for a hotel, check out Club Hotel. We booked online through Priceline, and they upgraded us when we check in. We had a king suite with a balcony (that overlooked the parking lot, ha ha). They offer an amazing free breakfast buffet. I think we paid $55/night on a weekend, and we LOVED our room.
Hubby suggested checking out the Parthenon. It was closed for a federal holiday when we were in Nashville last, but I think we would have enjoyed walking through it.
Hope you have fun! :)

In a houseful of toddlers and pets, you can start out having a bad day, but you keep getting detoured.

I'm taking DD down to Murfreesboro next weekend for Governor's School Auditions. I will check out Club Hotel as that is cheaper than the prices closer to MTSU.

I LOVE Demo's. I have only been to the one downtown but they were priced decently and the food was good.
