Default Best place to eat at Disneyworld

Hi everyone, it is our first time to Disneyworld but we had to cut our trip short due to DH's new job so we will only be in the area for 2 days. I was wondering if anyone could give me the best (affordable) restaurants to eat. TIA

Also, we are going to the not so scary halloween party and my sister is going with us and she cannot walk very far at a time. What is the best place for us to park to limit the amount of walking? Thanks again.

"Best" is a very relative term. Where are you looking at eating - in the parks, at a resort, or off-site? What kind of food are you looking for? Do you want a character meal? What is your budget? Disney food is not affordable by any sense of the word, but there are less expensive places, and there are restaurants that cost $150 PER person.

As far as parking goes, every parking spot will require walking. If you are going to Magic Kingdom (MK) for the Halloween party, the parking lot is not even at MK. It's at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). So you park there, and you have to take the monorail or the ferry to MK. If your sister cannot walk far, I'd look at renting a wheelchair or scooter for her because Disney means a lot of walking, no matter where you go. There is no way to park closer to MK than that - not even taxis can get close to MK. Only resort buses from Disney resorts can drop off and pick up there. Everyone else goes through the TTC.

Thanks for the heads up on the parking. We would like to have at least one meal in the park. There are 4 of us and I would like to stay under $60.00 for all of us if that's possible.

With a $60 budget, your only option is a counter service meal. One place I really like is Cosmic Ray's. It has three different lines - chicken, burgers, and sandwiches - so everyone can find something they like. Here is a link to their menu which was updated this month. The burgers are a huge meal because they have a fixings bar where you can put whatever you want on the burger. It's located in Tomorrowland by Fantasyland, and they have a ton of indoor seating and some outdoor seating.

I agree with Cosmic Ray's. There is a toppings bar for the burgers/sandwiches.

Topping Bar: lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, relish, green peppers, mushrooms, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, and cheese sauce.

Another good choice at MK is Columbia Harbor House located in Liberty Square. They have sandwiches, seafood and chicken. Examples on menu lobster roll, chicken nuggets, fried shrimp and fish, tuna sandwich, hummus sandwich, harvest salad, vegetarian chili.

I couldn't remember the name of the place I would recommend, but I see now it's Cosmic Ray's. DH, my mom, and I went to town on those sauteed mushrooms on the toppings bar.

Go to allears.net and look at the restaurants. They have detailed menus and pricing. Don't forget to take the resort restaurants into consideration as well...there are a lot of good choices there.

But with 4 people under $60..fast food is the only thing you're going to really be able to do.

I agree with Columbia Harbor House. My daughter is very picky and even she enjoyed eating here. Very nice selections to accommadate everyone and the food tasted great.
