Arizona Trip in June 2012

Hi Everyone! Need your help! Party of ten going to Phoenix Arizona, then Sedona, Grand Canyon, and Las Vegas next June. Looking for some good hotel rates and deals on rental cars and rafting trip from West Rim for one day. Already have plane tickets in hand. Any suggestions, want to get a decent place to stay without breaking the bank so we can do a few things. Any suggestions would be great!!

Check out all of the travel sites...

TravelZoo ( this is like groupon, if you sign up and tell them you need deals in such and such areas they wil send directly to your inbox), HotWire and Travelocity

Also check out tripadvisor on getting feedback from real people and their opinions.

When we went to Vegas a few years ago, the Stratosphere was the cheapest that was actually on the strip and it was a decent hotel.
Check your entertainment book for car rental deal coupons, I know I had a few in mine this year.

I will have to check with my parents on where they stayed when they went to Arizona. They also went to Sedona (which they LOVED) Grand Canyon and Phoenix.

Try checking out vacation rentals. VRBO or Homeaway are good sights. With that big of a group you can save a lot of $ over getting individual hotel rooms and you have the advantage of a kitchen as well. (I am renting a 4 bed/3 bath custom home for a group this winter and it only cost $225 + cleaning fee. There are beds for 13 and plenty of room to spread out.)

For car rentals - I use Hotwire a lot. I end up most of the time with Budget or National on that site, but I have gotten Alamo and Avis as well.
