Help for Clinical Visit to Children's Hospital Columbus OH

I am reaching out to get some help from maybe some of the locals in Columbus OH.

I am currently attending classes to become a Respiratory Therapist and as part of the course we are doing clinical visits to get our experience hours in. One of our sites is National Children's Hospital in Columbus OH. There are 8 of us so far going in groups of two beginning around the Th of November.

We have raised some money to defray costs oop, but now the big thing is finding a room at a rock bottom price.

I am hoping that someone can help us find some uber cheap places. I have been searching the regular sites also. We will be traveling from Erie PA.

Any help is greatly appreciate. If you know of cheap places that might have mini fridges and a microwave they would be awesome. Also coupon codes for hotels, rental car (we might use one), and places to eat and shop when we are there.

Check with travelzoo and tripadvisor. Both of those sites have some good places on there.

Definitely check tripadvisor. There are some not so great areas in Columbus that you will want to avoid. Will you have a car?

I noticed there is a list of hotels on the Children's Hospital website. Some of them offer a special rate for Children's. There are quite a few on this list but perhaps one would work out.

We will have our own cars to take so far. Each group of two will be car pooling. I heard there was some bad areas over there. I have a friend that was over there going to Devry, he is home now but I still need to get the rundown of where not to go.

Unfortunately I do not know Columbus well enough to tell you where to avoid but tripadvisor will definitely tell you some good information there. Usually someone will always remark if it is a bad neighborhood, etc.
