Acadia National park - cottages?

We are planning for a vacation in June and I would be really glad if any one can give some advise in choosing the cottages/motels. 3 families planning the vacation together with 3 kids between 2 and 5.

Are you wanting to stay in the park or outside it in a motel or hotel? Also how much are you wantng to spend? You can rent a nice home outside of the park for decent money that will house everyone.

I thinking of a cottage or a house so we all can have nice time together but not sure how expensive they can be. I really need some help/recommendations.
