Looking for advice on Hawaiian vacation....

We went to Honolulu last summer. My husband haunted the travel websites until the perfect deal hit on Travelocity. We stayed at a very high end hotel nicknamed the Pink Palace (The Royal Hawaiian). It was a great hotel/flight package. Oahu is your best bet for going with kids. It's the most kid friendly place. We rode the bus, walked, took a trolley and drove a rental car. We tired out the kids every night. There was also a coupon book called the best of Oahu that we used at restaurants and shops for souveniers and trinkets.

We spent two weeks on the Big Island of Hawaii and it was a trip of a lifetime. Plenty to see and do on that Isalnd for the two weeks. I've also been to Honolulu several times. It is much busier and many more tourists along with crowds. I understand some of the smaller islands are great if you want a relaxing vacation. It all depends on what you are looking for.
