Ummm...I am 39 years old and the Magic is still there. I am the first in line to give Tigger a hug, my absolutely favorite character. I am so giddy I can't stand still. For some people the Magic never dies...For me it never will.
I have been taking my sons since they were one years old. One of my boys is now 6 and he still really believes in the magic and characters. I think that from 4 to 8 is an awesome time to take kids.

We took my daughter for her 5th birthday and she knew no one was real. Don't get me wrong, she had a FANTASTIC time, but it made me wish we had taken her at 3 or close to 4 when she would have BELIEVED she was meeting the princesses.

We are going to Walt Disney World in October, with our four kids ages 13, 6, 6, and 4. We wanted to wait until everyone was a bit older to take such a big trip.
We have been to Disneyland twice, most recently when our youngest was 2.
I'm going to agree with Jen and say that somewhere around 8-10ish Magic Kingdom was not as exciting. My two older kids did not have as good of a time when the youngest was 4 and they were 10 and 12. Some of the other Disney parks might be better for tweens than Magic Kingdom, like MGM or the water parks. My kids prefer to go to Universal (either park) and Busch Gardens now because they like roller coasters. If you kids are tall enough and they like coasters, Magic Kingdom may not be as fun as another theme park. I still love it, but it isn't necessarily "cool" for tweens/teens.![]()
