Default Hershey & Lancaster, PA - thoughts?

We're going to meet up with family in the Hershey & Lancaster area of Pennsylvania - does anyone have suggestions for low cost activities for us for over next weekend? (August 14-15)

We are one senior, three adults, and three kids (boys aged 7, 5, & 2).

We plan on going to Hershey's Chocolate World, but not Hershey Park. What else should we do while we're there? I haven't gone to Lancaster since I was really little.

Hershey Park has a zoo that is cheap and you don't have to pay the insane HersheyPark price. How "low cost" are you looking for? There is a railroad train museum and the "Choo Choo barn" that are in Strasburg if your boys like trains. How about a Harrisburg Senators or a Lancaster Barnstormers baseball game if the teams are home. Barnstormers tickets can be as low as $6/person. I took my daughter to the Hershey Gardens and thought that was pretty neat, but I don't remember the price. I live in Lancaster, so if you want more ideas feel free to PM me. I also have a dd (age 5) and ds (age 3).

I appreciate the suggestions! I didn't realize Hershey Park had a separate zoo! How neat! My animal-loving kiddos would like that!

I heard about something with trains before, but I didn't know what it was... now I know it's in Strasburg... that's another possibility.

I really appreciate your help!

Maybe Taylordvd can help here because I havent been to Lancaster in a while -
When our kids were about the age of yours, DH would drop me off @ the outlets in Lancaster for a couple hours & take the kids to a water slide that was close by. I dont know the name of it.
The outlets have a QVC outlet if that interests you at all. I liked to see the stuff "in person" that I'd seen on TV.
Strasburg railroad is good.
We always loved to eat @ Good & Plenty - for a terrific Amish feast! Shoo-fly pie = Yummy!!

The Strasburg railroad would probably be lots of fun.
