I have been there several times and it is possible to do the park in one day. My kids really loved the water park, Splashin Safari. Lots of stuff for kids in both parks, even without thrill rides. I personally would recommend doing two days, however, so you can do one park one day and then the other. What we do is go after 3pm get 11 dollars off with a pepsi can and then we buy a next day ticket for half price before we leave. Hotels are either not close or not cheap, so keep that in mind. We stayed at the Motel 6 in Dale, Indiana and it wasn't too bad. The campground next door to the park has a lot to do there too I am told, enough to almost keep you busy an entire day, but I have never been there. We love the free drinks, parking and the very clean park.
