Just a little further information - we have always rented a house while visiting Orlando. Having a pool, washer, dryer and being able to at least start out with a cooked breakfast saved us a ton. We would have had to get more than 1 hotel room, and the house came out to less per night than just 1 room!

coke rewards currently have 1 day admission tickets for 1000pts good till august 2012 and valid at both parks( universal and islands of adventure) just watch 1 set is for orlando and the other is for hollywood ca.

also if you are traveling with a sick or special needs child(mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy, cancer, kidney disease etc) you may get a guest assistance pass for free at customer service for generally 4-6 ppl including the child, and it is essentially the same as the fastpass that you will pay for which i think is 15-25 per person.
generally you must have the child w/ you when requesting the pass and if they feel you are lying they can deny you the pass. so I travel w/ a medical treatment plan from my child's dr that lists her medical conditions so Ive never been given a hassle but I do know that as w/ anything there are ppl who take advantage of the available pass also it is only valid when the child is riding the attraction w/ the other ppl in the group and it doesnt always guareentee instant admission.

the only pass that can quarentee a child instant access to attractions and charecters etc is the pass families are given when the child is granted a wish from give kids the world and they generally must also be wearing their button that is provided that identifies them as a wish child.

also I know that other then the pass for wish children some parks like disney are changing their lines to allow wheelchairs and electric scooters making it that those individuals cannot get the passes to skip the lines. since there has been such abuse of these passes.

I would also suggest that if you are driving or if you are flying and can check your bags for free take an empty suitcase that you will need to bring home your extra purchases and use it to take a case or 2 of bottled water as it is super hot and I hate to pay $2-4 for a bottle of water when i can pay $3.97 for a 35ct case of deerpark and i take it in to the parks w/ us in a backpack. which if you havent a sturdy packpack is great for these parks i never leave home w/o one when i travel to florida.
