In the past, your passes are still good during the 2 weeks of the fair if you live outside a 50 mile radius of Louisville. They check this by your drivers license and give you a special wristband, so no tickets are required, but only if you qualify for the 50 mile radius situation.

Last year we bought season passes to Holiday World as Christmas gifts, before Dec. 31 the passes were around $89.00 and if you buy them right before the park closes for the year the passes were right around $69.00. Holiday World is about 1hr 15 minutes from my house, I know gas prices are high, but for 1 day of great fun I'll make that drive about once a week. We love Holiday World more than Ky Kingdom, free drinks all day and the meal prices are very affordable, it's more family friendly and their water parks is better than Ky Kingdom.

I agree we like Holiday World much better than Kentucky Kingdom the free parking, free drinks an free sunscreen grabs us an we like the lay out of the park more too lots of shaded areas the pretty scenic drive out there never no heavy traffic goin out to Holiday World.

Not to mention the whole park bathrooms inclueded is squeaky clean food is a very fair price a large ice cream cone was only $1.89 be that at your local ice cream stand.
