NON-Disney vacation ideas with little ones please!

Here's the situation:

I have a 4 year old and an infant. We live by and DH works for Disney, so we do that year-round. We have been just about everywhere in FL, and I'm trying to avoid a long car trip if at all possible...but everything seems to be 8+ hours away :sad:. We're looking into a short cruise in August. Flying is a possibility, but of course expensive.

Does anyone have ANY suggestions? Has anyone taken a cruise with an older infant (9 months)? Any thoughts on that?

BEAUTIFUL beaches, nice water park, mini golf, playgrounds, biking, etc
