Best Tropical Vacation!?

My husband and I are planning on taking a tropical vacation this summer for about 8-10 days. We haven't decided on where to go just yet. We love beaches/snorkeling but we also love mountains and lush tropical hiking paths! We were married in Kauai, HI and would LOVE to go back, but we're also wanting to see something a little different. We'd truly want to see Tahiti, but with our budget I don't think that's happening! Ha! :)

ANY suggestions are welcome, as hearing others experiences is really helpful!! We're trying to aim for a vacation package that isn't over a thousand per person.

A cruise is always fun and not too expensive. You will stop at several ports but each will usually be only a day. I want to plan a trip this year to an all inclusive resort either in Jamaica or Mexico. I haven't been alot of places but so far, Cozumel MX has been my all time favorite!

We love Grand Cayman. It is so beautiful and peaceful.. They have some of the greatest scuba diving. We always stay on the East End of the island. We have a timeshare there. We won't be using it this year. It is a 2 bedroom condo. Let me know if you are interested it would just cost you the maintenance fees that I have already paid this year.
