teen cruise ideas needed - going week of March 14, 2010

Hi everyone,

FINALLY, after many years of no vacation, my husband and I have finally decided to take the cash and take a vacation that is not a "stay-cation"! Anyway... He wants to go on a cruise - something all inclusive. Our daughter is an only child and while we do A LOT of stuff as a family and would love to have one of her friends go with us, I don't believe we can afford to have one accompany us.

Anybody have any ideas as to a cruise line or ship that would be great for a 13 year old that tends to be shy, yet outgoing when she gets with a group of friends. :shrug7:

Remember I am still very frugal and trying to save as much as possible, but want this vacation to take years of stress :sad: off of my husband.

Hi Dee. I presume by now you have booked your cruise.

I have always sailed with Carnival. I took my daughter for the first time for her 13th birthday. She is like yours shy .. she chose not to go to the teen club for her age, her choice, however i know she wouldve had a nice time.

Go for it and encourage her to participate when possible, if you are unable to vacation often, then this should be a GREAT way for your whole family to relieve stress and become even closer than before.

Im going on my 12th sailing May 3rd. and I cant wait.
