| Visiting Orlando for a weekend (from England) Hi guys,
I found a link to your site from a UK equivelent site that I use (wwwPaidToShop.co.uk) as someone from our site stumbled across HCW a couple of years ago, and posted links to your "stockpile photos"
So, I'm visiting Orlando for a 3 nights in March, and I'm wanting to find vouchers thatI can print off, and use during our stay.
Primarily food vouchers for eating out. I'm not sure what outlets there are over there, other than the ones that we have here which is McDonald's, Burger King and KFC. I've heard of a thing called Taco Bell which sounds right up my street, so I really really wanna try that place, and I also find it very weird that your KFC's don't appear to serve chips ("fries" to you guys) but mash instead - lol, what is that about?!
So...what food places can be found in Orlando (I-Drive area is where we're staying, but we're hiring a car anyway...) and where can I found printable vouchers.
Also, wanting to stock up on clothes and possibly shoes/trainers whilst I'm over there, as I'm tall and pretty big (by UK standards!) but I take a size US16 shoe, and shoes that size are only by mail-order here in the UK, and are VERY expensive (typical shoes like...Pod if you have that brand there, are like US$110+, trainers about the same for Nike, Reebok, etc) - what are the best places for clothiing for me? And where can I find vouchers?
I'm not sure what is going to be cheaper in the USA than over here in the UK, but the strong exchange rate for the £/$ will probably be good for me. How much are Gillette Razor blades over there typically? I use the Gillette M3 Power pic...
Which are around £7.00 to £10.00 here for 4 or 5 blades ($11.00-$16.00) - are these cheaper in the USA?
Any other advice/tips please??

| Re: Visiting Orlando for a weekend (from England) For non "fast food" restaurants, have you looked at Restaurant.com? They sell "gift certificates" at a discounted price. Most of their certificates have certain criterias that must be met, but usually are still a very good deal (example: a certificate worth $10 from a certain restaurant may cost $4, but to use you must have a minimum food purchase of $20, plus 18% gratuity will be added to your pre-discounted total, and it isn't valid on take-out orders-- but at most nice restaurants, it would be easy to meet these requirements when 2 or more are dining, and the certificate would still be a money saver comparatively!). I have bought these certificates via PayPal with no problem and have used them at restaurants in my rural area with no problem, so I'm sure Orlando-area restaurants would be familiar with them. Hopefully, this link will take you directly to their Orlando listings, but if not you can search by state and area: Restaurant.com- Orlando restaurants
Other suggestions:
- Utilize mapquest.com or the Maps feature at Google or Yahoo- map the address for your hotel, then search for restaurants or attractions nearby
- Search online for forums or message boards discussing Disney World vacations and ideas. I've visited a couple of these boards, and there are people who live in the area or have visited many, many times that could probably offer some "inside" tips and information!
- Finally, search online for "outlet malls" in Orlando. There are two HUGE shopping areas, one at each end of I-Drive. They aren't what I consider typical American malls, as they are groups of buildings containing many stores, not all in one building. I'm not positive, but the malls themselves may offer free coupons to some of the stores they contain. Even if they do not, you should be able to locate listings of what stores are located there, then search for the individual stores' websites and look for printable coupons or sign up to possibly receive some by email between now and the time of your trip.
I hope this is at least a little helpful! If you're confused by any of my suggestions, just ask and I'll try to clarify! Oh, and welcome to Hot Coupon World! :) |

What is "AAA" please? | Hmmm...maybe one our FLA people can say why that is. Maybe cause the deals would be too good...IDK Or, maybe there's just too many attractions.
AAA is I think, the American Auto Association They do roadside assitance, help with travel plans, sell insurance, I'm sure there's AAA in most every town. Alot of people get AAA each year so if they breakdown, they get towed or have their doors opened if locked out, gas if they run out. You also get discounts at hotels and restaurants w/ your card and they'll give you road maps and they are one of the places that sell the Bonus Books
You'll see signs that repair shops are AAA approved |

| Re: Visiting Orlando for a weekend (from England) You must think we are crazy by looking at our stockpile photos!
Our KFCs have fries and mash potatoes...at least the ones in NC do. j
I am not sure you will find a size 16 shoe in our stores either. A friend of mine is a size 13 and he orders his shoes online.
Welcome to HCW!
