San Diego Zoo/Restaurant Deals?

I have a conference for work in San Diego in February and we have 2 days with no commitments! I'd love to check out the zoo and possibly some other local attractions. We're staying at the Town & Country Hotel and won't have a rental car, so we'll need to rely on public transportation. Any recommendations for good area attractions (and deals for them) or deals for the zoo? Thanks!!!

Public transportation in SD is kinda iffy. Is it just you and your sweetie (no kidlets)? I'd recommend checking out the trip planner for the bus and trolley route and see what you can find: :: Transit.511sd.com :: You might be able to take the trolley part way and the bus the rest. You can also google map the trip and chose the public transportation option.

I have a san diego entertainment book that has zoo coupons as well as coupons for the museums in balboa park (which is where the zoo is). If you'd like, I can pull them out and send them to you. I also have some free passes to a couple museums. Drop me a PM.
