Would like to go to Pigeon Forge, TN but Need a great deal!!

My husband is out of work and we havent been able to go anywhere for awhile. We absolutely love Pigeon Forge but would need to get a deal to go. I got a couple hundred bucks for Christmas so I'm hoping we can find a deal for 3 or 4 nights at a good place. We would take our 2 boys also, If you have any great tips please send them to me. When we go, we like to eat at the Apple Barn, the Log Cabin, and the Old Mill. If you know of any specials or coupons for these places, please let me know. I'm hoping we can scrape something together and go sometime in February. Any help would be greatly appreciated, it would be nice to get a little time away! Thanks!!

we're going to that area in april and staying at oakhaven resort in a 2 bedroom cabin. we're paying 125 a night but its a beautiful place, has a spa and gameroom, trails, parks (there's an outdoor pool too). the one bedrooms has a pullout in the LR so if you could make do and go in feb i bet you could get it for under 100 a night.

i signed up for the vacation guide to be mailed to me haven't gotten it yet but theres usually good coupons in there.

check out the new indoor waterpark/hotel they just built recently. if you go during the week then it will not be so expensive. it is called wild bear falls. it is just outside of gatlinburg. and at all of the gas stations, stores, etc, they have coupons for all kinds of places (10% off, or free small gifts/trinkets, etc). make sure that you check out the tanger outlets! they have some great deals, too! dollywood is really too cold right now (i don't think it is even open). i live about an hour from there.

We are going week after next with a large family group. We rented a cabin through cabinsofthesmokymountains.com. At the time of booking they had a deal, buy 4 nights and get two week nights free. So we are staying 6 nights. I checked the site today and they have other specials they are offering. Not sure how soon you are traveling but if it is soon, you could get up to 50% off a night.

When I went a few years ago, I found my listing on ebay of all places. Had a rent 5 nights and get a weekend free deal which costed me all of $500 for an entire week. It was a small honeymoon cabin, but spacious. Heaven for me all alone... Having an entire cabin w. kitchen and laundry helped on the food spending too - I brought a lot of stuff, and simply bought a couple of spoil me items to have there [like icecream and cake, LOL]. I'd love to go again, sigh.

Our family went in November one year, and actually got our cabin off of Ebay.

Here is a link to the auctions that hold the cabins. This normally rents for $175 a night, and I gave her a best offer at $70 a night. You might be able to get one of her smaller cabins for closer to $50.

She was GREAT to work with, and the cabin had EVERYTHING that you would want. Great Kitchen to cook in (take some of your stockpile for Breakfast and dinner...eat out for lunch! Its the cheapest!). There is so much to do at the cabin, that we were sad to leave it to go do other things! lol.

If you have willpower (and only if you have willpower), you and your family can clean up by attending timeshare presentations. You have to be prepared for truly hard sales, but they will give you tickets, cash, etc. for a two-hour presentation.

You have to be prepared to feel as if you are stupid for not doing this (you aren't) and just smile a lot.
