we went to the hoover dam with the 'pink jeep' company. while it was not free, we felt it was worth the money.
someone did mention it above but watch out for the people on the street handing out smut cards. it was all day not just at night.

ok, Circus Circus was a complete WASTE OF TIME!!!

the "free circus show" was 8 minutes.

Boy Circus Circus looks horrible, really really in dire need of an update or at least a good deep clean.

My DD did really enjoy the lions/tigers at MGM. Ok, so they just laid there and didn't move much. She thought it was cool they were just over her head when she was on her dad's shoulders. And no, we didn't spring for the $25 for a photo op with a baby lion, but we went around the corner and she thought it was pretty cool just to see the baby lion hanging out with a handler.

I wish I had seen this earlier and would have warned you against Circus Circus. I find that place very depressing with kids sitting along the side walls with parents gambling at 2:00 am.
I also do not like the current Treasure Island show. I loved the old one where it was pirated versus pirates but now it is sirens (or I can think of other words) luring in the pirates. The "TI" as it is now called is trying really hard for the 20 something party crowd.
I love Mandalay Bay's Aquarium and think it is worth the admission, but I also love Aquariums!!!
I spent two years living in Vegas and my husband and I go back once a year to two years. At this point we don't want to bring our girls. However, if we did we have discussed taking them to Red Rock, Valley of Fire or Mt. Charleston. I love all three of them - but you do need a car to get there!
