Default Zoo Memberships

I have a family membership at a zoo close by. I just found out that we could attend up 150 other zoo's or aquariums for free or at a great discount. You also get special things like %10 off of food, and things from the gift shop. Plus free parking if there is a charge.

My question is this--My family is visiting Orlando in October--is there a zoo or aquarium that anyone knows of that would also be part of this program? I even saw that Disney's Animal Kingdom is an part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, but I don't know if they would give any kind of discount. I finally gave up trying to find out by calling after sitting on hold for 20 minutes. I'm hoping someone else has already checked this out. Sea World was also on the list, but I don't know if they give a discount to zoo members either. :shrug7:

Man wouldn't it be cool if they did. Our family membership was only $45, and it's paid for itself already!

Each zoo membership has different affiliates. You should be able to get a list of participating zoo's etc. from your zoo. Sounds like fun.

Default Re: Zoo Memberships

Hi OP. We are zoo members here in NC and they list the affiliates on the NC Zoo website. You should go to your home zoo's website and see who they list as affiliates. Ours lists about 7 or 8 in Florida but none are listed as being in Orlando. Good luck! The zoo memberships ARE great. We use the zoo as a meeting place with family members since it's about the same distance for each of our families. BTW, that cool turtle in my avatar lives at the NC Zoo!
