Has anyone taken a family Alaskan cruise?

DH and I are thinking about a cruise to Alaska this summer with the kids (4 boys, ages 18, 15, 5 and 1 1/2).

Has anyone taken a family Alaskan cruise?

Pros? Cons? any feedback?

I'd like to hear too because the in-laws are wanting to take all of us on an Alaskan cruise next summer.

Well, I don't know about taking a family but my GF and I went last year and it was great!!!!!!!!! There were some kids on the ship so somebody thought it was a good idea. I would definitely see what the ship offers, for kids, so you will have a better idea before spending money.

I've never been on one, but my in-laws took one a few years ago with a bunch of friends and really enjoyed it. They said there was plenty of things to keep them entertained and the food was great.

I would suggest that any of you who are concidering taking a cruise to Alaska or anywhere for that matter, check out cruisecritic.com (I hope it's ok to put that on here). It's free and everyone there is so... helpful and can answer any questions yu might have about cruising.
To Rebate Queen, if you don't want to go with your inlaws, I'll be glad to take your place. I wish my inlaws would buy me a cruise.
