| How long is a good length of time for your vacation? It is time for my family to plan the summer vacation. Last year we went for a week (Sat to Sat) on a lake. It was really nice but come to day 5 the kids were cranky and I think we could have ended it there. I know the length of time depends on the location you go to but there is always an average of what you think is best. Share with us how long you like to go on vacation wnd why? I still think 7 days, one week is good for me.

| Re: How long is a good length of time for your vacation? I'm single too, but I don't vacation alone... which means I get a little cranky and annoyed after a while with little or no "alone time" too! LOL
I think 5 to 7 days is best for me. However, I prefer to come home for the last 1 to 2 days of it, so I can have a little time to recover, relax, and enjoy the time off from work- in peace and quiet! LOL (I think if I was married with kids, I'd want to take that last day or two by arranging for the kids to spend it at a friend's or relative's house, then order take-out and snuggle up-- with a good book or with the hubby, depending on the mood! ) |

| Re: How long is a good length of time for your vacation? I agree with that totally. I would not even book a vacation to somewhere like Hawaii, Greece, or the Carribeans without enough time to saturate myself with everything I could. I might not get back there!
