| VEGAS, baby! Need a clean, cheap Vegas trip Hi - DH has a conference in Vegas in Febuary... They are putting him up at the Bellagio! SO.... I'm planning on joining him on the last 3 days of the trip (Tues-Thurs)... how is their Conservatory? We aren't gamblers, btw.-- were too cheap for that! I need to know:- where to find discount books, reputable/UNreputable travel resources
- What shows are worth it... I really like the acrobatics in Cirque de Soliet (there are several of those shows - Which one?!)
- any tips to booking airfare. We need to book soon since he has to book his trip and I want to be able to be on the same flight/sit with him on the way back.
Thanks!

| Re: VEGAS, baby! Need a clean, cheap Vegas trip Kayak is usually a really good site to check airfares. As far as vegas you have to check out this site for cheap eats, things to do, etc... Cheapo Vegas
I can't help you on the books though, I am not a reader. Hope some of this helps. |

| Re: VEGAS, baby! Need a clean, cheap Vegas trip My DH and I went out there for 5 days about 3 years ago. It was really nice. We shopped around (for about two weeks) and expedia was the best deal for us. We stayed at the Aladdin (now Planet Hollywood). I can tell you we had our best meal we have ever had at a restruant across from the Bellagio. It was in Paris and you eat outside overlooking the fountains. DH had a Blue Cheese steak and I had chicken. HOLY COW it was good. We still talk about it when we cook steaks. We didn't spend much money on the shows because they are SSSSOOOO expensive but we did enjoy all the free things. Aladdin AKA PH has a HUGE mall inside. There is an italian interactive show in there. It was the most fun. It was inexpensive and about 60 are there having dinner and for the show (if your lucky you may be pulled on stage for a singing gig). It really was a hoot. We would walk to different hotels for breakfast just so we can try out as many as we could. It was a blast. I hope you enjoy your time.

| Re: VEGAS, baby! Need a clean, cheap Vegas trip Thanks for the input! so specifically, what is there for free things to do? I've been to Vegas twice, but just as a minor, and we didn't do hardly anything but pass though on the trips... so I'm clueless. I think we will have to take in ONE big show. I like live shows :) But I know my dh would be happy to just sit there in the hotel room... so its up to me to plan what I want to do! Thanks everyone

There are free trams that can take you from some hotels to others. This way you don't have to walk the entire strip. (which is mega long). I would not recommend renting a car for your entire stay. I would just take a cab here or there because many places you will go will be on foot. However, cabs are always available on the backside of all hotels for those trips to Fremont or if you need one.
