Hi, I live in Myrtle Beach and there is def alot here to do.
If you don't mind the crowds, staying at a place like Ocean Lakes campground (there are always houses there for rent) would be great. There are lots of things for the kids to do. You can rent a golf cart and rarely have to drive all week. There is a Kroger, Superwalmart and a Rite aid right down the road from the campground. Its a very convenient place.
If you do mind crowds, consider murrells inlet or surfside as a place to stay.
PM me if you have any Myrtle Beach specific questions, I'd be glad to help ya out.
ISO nwpn winetags for SC & BTFE I have lots to trade - my havelist is NOT complete!!!
When looking at Myrtle Beach , look at towns north or south of Myrtle as well. We stayed in Little River, SC. We were there during Bike Week and had no problems with traffic. Even driving into Myrtle was not too bad, as the bikes were alot of fun to look at!! It is about a 20 minute or so drive if I remember correctly to really start getting into the action but you actually start getting close pretty quickly, House of Blues etc is not too far from Little River. Far enough to be out of the *hot zone* traffic wise when we wanted to just go to the beach etc but close enough that we were quickly in the action when we wanted. Also it is SOOOO much cheaper to stay a little further away!!
