Sea World San Diego?

definitely stop at OB, it is the best ocean front community I've ever lived at. We used to walk from there to Sea World back when we lived there and had year passes. We lived right off one of the exits for the highway though and not actually on the beach front.

I recall the penguin encounter being the best in the heat, and definitely make sure to drink enough. Living in OB didn't exempt me from forgetting and getting heat stroke (while my mom stood in line to buy a bottle of water for like 30min).

Thats true, you definately want to keep hydrated, plenty of sunscreen, (even if a rare cloudy day, but hey its near the beach).. and hats!

If you get a chance, La Jolla, is also a cool place, to just drive thru..
very pretty, and great ocean view!!

Already back now! Had a great time! We went to Ocean beach, or what we thought was ocean beach, but where we were was all cliffs, and we couldn't get to the water>. I am sure the locals thought we were morons!!
We had a great time though. We got the Sea World Tickets for free because they give military families one free admission per year. I'm glad about that, be cuase if we would have had to pay the $150 or so it would have cost us, I would have been disapointed. I really think Sea World San Antonio seemd to have more, it had roller coasters and rides and stuff. But that was 6 years ago, I may be imagining things!
I just think the ticket price is a tad high!

Sorry you didnt have as good a time as you thought you would. I dont get into rollercoasters much, I guess that is why I liked the san diego sea world better. To me the other attractions are better there since there arent any fancy rollercoasters to attract people. Plus you can beat the ocean breeze when you are standing in line with the blazing hot sun overhead.
Hope you were able to have at least a good enough time knowing it was free.
