Erin, The rock and plantation are not part of the Cape. Plymouth is just north of the Cape.

There is a Stop N Shop gas station in the area of Plymouth where gas is $3.89 right now ($.15 discount per gallon!)

I grew up on the cape! It is a wonderful vacation spot. You can't go wrong no matter where you stay. Falmouth heights and new Seabury are very nice! Be sure to check out the Christmas Tree Shops, it is a GREAT fun discount store with awesome stuff! Be sure to plan a trip to Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard. You can leave from either Falmouth or Hyannis!
Enjoy your trip!

My DH and I moved from Falmouth about 12 years ago but we still go back often because my MIL still lives there and we have some good friends that we stay with when we go back. We actually went for a few days last week and had a good time.

A must is definately Woods Hole, its a quaint little village with lots to see and do; you can also take 1/2 hour boat ride over to Martha's Vineyard with the Steamship Authority (local boating company) right from town. If you want to go out to dinner the Silver Lounge in Falmouth is awesome, the Black Diamond Steak just melts in your mouth ($13.95) and the chowder is great too.

Ditto on visiting Christmas Tree Shops... just make sure you have enough room to bring back all the great stuff.

The Cape is a very tourist oriented area so there are free mini magazines everywhere loaded with coupons and ideas.

Have a great time!
