Re: Travelling to Seattle any suggestions? Do you have a hotel already? When I traveled to Seattle and Vancouver three years ago (in March), I posted a similar request on the Fodor message board and someone told me about BiddingForTravel.com - The informed Priceline Travel Bidding Forum. He said to use it for 4* hotels. I ended up getting a 4* for $65/night. It was within walking distance to everything. I have since used the site for other travel and have usually had extremely nice hotels at 1-3* hotel prices.
We had a good breakfast in Pikes Place. Unfortunately I can't remember the name. It was on the water and had two levels. You order when you walk in the door and then find a place to sit. It was packed so we figured it was a popular weekend breakfast place and gave it a shot. We also had a nice French-style breakfast just down the street from Pikes Place. It was across the street from the water... on a corner not too far from the original Starbucks. Sorry I can't remember the names.
We took a ferry to Bainbridge Island. You get excellent views of the city and mountains and Bainbridge has a cute area to walk around and grab lunch.
We also went into the space needle (touristy, I know!) and had lunch.
We had our then toddler daughter with us, so we were limited on what we could do. There are some nice places within driving distance, but I can't remember their names. The zoo was nice.
Have a great time! |
