Default Sesame Place, Hershey Park, ?

I'm trying to figure out a good vacation within a reasonable drive with a 1 yr old and a 4 yr old, and am considering Seasame Place or Hershey Park. I am considering other ideas too. Anyone been here? Can you do it in one trip? Other good activities near by? How long is enough at each place? Recommendations? Worthwhile for a family trip?

TIA!!!

i took my daughter and grandson last year. We got the tickets off Ebay. He was then 4 or so, and she felt 5 hours was plenty of time for what was fun for him at Sesame Place. It was an exercise in overstimulation from how he reacted. I offered to get them in the next day, but they preferred to spend the day walking around.Hope this helps a bit...

Over a year ago, my husband and I visited his relatives in Pennsylvannia. We took our then 6 and 2 year old to Mothergooseland and Santas village. It was well worth the money and visit. The kids can ride everything!! My two year old was on every ride available even a small roller coaster. I would definately recommend.

We went several years ago with a 3 a and 8 year old and they liked it "ok" but were not really that impressed. I found it to be a big let down. We did hershey one day and sesame one day. That was way too much time.
They had more fun at the Crayola place and I think we did that the same day as Hershey. Its been a while.

Not sure if you have a martins (part of the giant chain) but right now they are offering free hershey park tickets for buying pepsi products. I think its a free ticket for every $30 of pepsi products you buy.

You may want to check out Dutch Wonderland. You can do it in a day, but then you have Lancaster to play in. Amish Buffet meals, shopping, the railroad museum is not too far, farm tours, etc....
Dutch Wonderland has always been the most little kid friendly option. And it can be done in a day...no problem. Unless SP has changed over the years, it was not impressive. Hersey fit's the school age crowd better than the pre- school crowd.

We love Sesame Place! As a matter of fact I just saw coupons at Burger King for $10/ off each admission. Definately go in the middle of the week it is much less crowded. Each day at 2:00 pm they have a parade where all the characters come out and greet the kids. It's so cute for the kids that love Sesame Street.

Do you know if there are any discounts available out there for Dutch Wonderland. That's where we are planning on taking DD who's almost 2.
