| | | Re: Advertising on the board I absolutely love how PYP does Amazon, the mods put something that even by our very frugal standards is a hot deal, and they have a "What's Hot at Amazon" part. I'd say a few related sponsers that even we think are hot, like Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, CVS, Walgreens, ebay, K-mart, etc. Imagine if HCW got paid every time someone clicked thru and printed Target coupons, this site would be rolling in $$$! |

I don't know if they have an affiliate program, but it would be worth checking into.

As for the others, the least noticeable and least tricky (I hate when you click what you think is a clear space in order to scroll and it turns out you've clicked the ad) the better. ITA that the only ones that really will be used here are those that give a true savings or information about one. | Cool Savings is the worst...last time I accidentally clicked through a link to them, it put 18 (!) data miners on my computer as well as other stuff. My spyware went crazy!

| | Re: Advertising on the board I just wanted to reiterate Amazon. But if you do Amazon, you should make sure that you guys get paid for click thrus from individual posts, not just banners. In the last week I have purchased 2 things on Amazon from posts on this site, and I'm not a huge Amazon shopper, its just that the members here know a truly hot deal when they see one and don't clutter the board with so/so deals. I love it, I've jumped on 2 so far and hope to see more, so I'd like HCW to get paid for shopping I'd do anyway!!!! |

| | Re: Advertising on the board We now have 35 different companies we are signed up with, including amazon. And they are companies I know are relevant to most people. I kind of used a "pay myself" mentality when seeking companies I had some interest in, in that they were companies that I would use the links through here too to shop with. So along what you just said Berlin, at least I would be getting paid for the things I am buying and rebating myself.

Knowing that we could get better deals through this site, i.e, the 'pay myself' mentality would be even better. |

| | Re: Advertising on the board Well folks, the first batch of banner ads are up in the Shop through HCW sticky in the announcements section. Go over there and check them out. We will be leaving that thread up with our advertisers so you can check them all out in one place, but we will also start placing them throughout the board.
There are some really good offers through the links - my personal favorites being the Blockbuster.com, emusic.com (25 free downloads), sony connect (cause there are always free song promos - personally I have had over 100 free downloads from them since I opened mine), amazon.com, and some of the travel ones, but of course I like to travel. :ShoppingBag:
There's a few more companies I am waiting on the banner links for, but this is likely going to be the core batch for now.
Please shop and enjoy. And we promise.........NO FREAKY ADS!!!! :whack:
