The other day, I noticed that I could no longer see the family & friends savings on my UPromise account. I emailed them, and got this response:
Thank you for being a member of Upromise. We appreciate the time you
have taken to contact us.
As of August 20, 2006 Upromise members that are primarily saving for
their future students; and have family and friends accounts linked to
their own Upromise accounts, will no longer be able to see rewards that
have been allocated to their future students under the Statements &
Balances section of their account. Primary members will only see the
allocated funds from their family and friends accounts once a month
when
those family and friends allocated funds actually sweep from the family
member and friend?s accounts into their the primary member?s account.
Moving forward, on the 12th of each month rewards that are allocated to
your account from family and friends accounts will sweep to your
account
for the benefit of your future student(s). Once these rewards are
transferred to your account they are available to your future student
for withdrawal.
To view the contributions transferred to your account from your linked
family and friends account, please follow these steps:
Click on the "My Account Tab"
Select ?Savings by Beneficiary?
