Default Anyone use the Sallie Mae link in their Upromise account to divert funds to Sallie Mae for payment?

I have a whopping $351 just sitting in my Upromise account. We've been members for 7 years, so I earn about $50 a year. I just linked over my sallie mae loan, and my link is pending. Anyone have any success using their balance to pay down the loan through that system? Does this just make a payment, or does it actually reduce the principle of the loan?
