Default Trading frees for rebate forms

Question on trading free item coupons for rebate forms....how do you go about assessing a value? I've talked to another heavy trader and she kind of told me what she'd do but then other traders aren't interested when I tell them what I want for the frees. I just don't know what's right.

Do you go off the value of the rebate payout? Or do you go off the trade value (10%) for the rebate forms? I just read that frees are traded for 30% of value, but is that fair when trading for rebate forms? Most of the rebate forms I'm trading for I'd need to buy other products in excess. Spend $10 get $6 back.

Any opinions? I''m not new to trading...just normally trade coupons for coupons or rebate forms for PP. Thanks!

If you're going off 30% for frees and 10% for rebates, I would make sure the values are the same. For example:

You send 4 frees worth $5 each, so 30% is $6.00.
Trader sends 10 rebates worth $6 each, so 10% is $6.00. (The fact that you spend $10 to get $6 doesn't matter to me.)

Maybe? Frees are so subjective. Some people "pay" almost the max value for them, even if the max value is super high. I typically stick to pp with frees and rebates - just seems easier that way.

Thanks for responding! My frees I have are free Coffee-Mate and two coupons for free coffee (one of which is up to 10.99). I know some people are very big on coffee and coupons for coffee are worth a lot to them. I said 30% because that's what I just read under the Q&A section on here...but maybe that's a little low? IDK!!! I'm just trying to put it in perspective. I don't want to not be fair to the other person but I also don't want to not get the full extent of the trade.

You are right...might be better to trade frees for PP and then buy the forms with the PP! I just thought more traders with forms would jump on the chance to trade forms for a free coupon that they could use if they drink coffee.

Thanks again so much for responding!!

I think it really depends on the trader and what the item is worth to them. Some rebates are really hard to come by so those trade higher than other ones.

For that reason, I try to trade my frees for other frees or hard to find WL Q's.
