Help me find a trader that did not include their username

This has happened to me a few times,
but I thought this information might help someone else.

What is the HCW protocol for finding someone who neglected to include their username on or in an envelope you have received?

Did you communicate by pm?
Search your inbox for a coupon that was included in the trade and see if you can narrow it down by the search results you get.

Honestly, if I can't figure it out rather quickly, I don't sweat it. You could search by their street name if you communicated over PM and they sent you their addy too. That would hopefully be on the envie.

But if they want the FB they will come asking. I just don't have that much time in the day to spend on looking for another person's username.

I ususally look through my PM's. ON the envelope...I look at the city/state of the sender and try and figure out that way.

If they dotn put the user name on the envie and I dont know who its from by the coupons in the envie then they just dont get feedback from me.

If you have several trades or trains going on its just to much work to hunt them down.

I keep a trade log and off to the side put the state next to their user name, so it helps me narrow down if someone doesn't leave their user name on the envie and I'm doing lots of trades/trains.

search inbox pm's or sent messages. i had one the other day and had to narrow it down this way. i tend to leave the last pm with trade info in it, in my inbox until i leave feedback. i then delete it. i start there and see if this is one of them...if not, i go to trains address pm's and search there.

as long as there is no "issue" with the envie, that person just doesnt get feedback.

i personally sign up for the "free" mailing labels and use my screen name as the name portion. that way the return address is my screen name here and they know who it came from.
