Default coupon database traders - GRRRR

Why do people list the coupons they have for trade and then not respond to a possible trade? I have sent PM to 4 different people about 4 different products (multiples), and 4 days later I still haven't received a reply. I understand if you are not interested in the trade I offer, but please let me know! If I am trying to trade with you for 20 coupons for soup, I don't approach someone else for the same coupons until we have made a decision whether we'll trade or not. Now I am 4 days behind the game because people are not messaging me back!

Are you sending notifications through the database? If so, it's wonky for a lot of people! If you sent actual PMs, double check the last time the member was online. If they haven't logged in since you sent the PM, they haven't gotten it.

Yep. I don't trade there. I had a trade awhile back & it didn't notify me that they had responded. I just happened to check & saw it. I prefer pm's.

Even then though, you just cannot expect everyone to answer. Most do & I sure try, but when I put up a "Have" for Capri Sun, I got WHAMMED! I tried to respond to all, but I'm sure I didn't. By the time I went back to go through them all, it had already been 24 hours, so at that point traders often move on anyway, so I just moved on too.

Don't wait more than 24 hours to find other possibilities - no way.

Also, you can click the "trader details" in the database to see their feedback & see when their last activity date was. That helps me to see if I want to even bother them for a quick trade. If they haven't signed in for a couple of days, I skip them altogether.

The db is definitley wonky sometimes, I saw a trade offer in mine a WEEK after the other trader left it there. Still don't know how that happened.

I have also had many a crazy or wonky experience with the database. I would post a reply, but it wouldnt show up. Then, I would post again a day or two later, and it still didnt show up. A month later, I see both of them one right after the other!! There is no rhyme or reason to when it works properly [which in my experience is rare] and when it doesnt, and you cannot predict whether or not it will work correctly for you for this trade.
Another reason-- I have soooo many pages to go through it is insane. Ive had 98 pages and even if you change it to post 100 at a time, that is 9 pages of a ton of q's, and, it takes FOREVER and a day to load it in the first place. Once loaded, I hoped it would be quicker, but found that not to be the case.
When I was brand new here and only had 8 pages it was fine & it was how I worked. But I also noticed that people wouldnt bother to answer me. So, I decided that if I really wanted those Q's, I would pm them. I get a reply probably 75% of the time when I send it via pm. Waay better odds!
And, I posted for some Smartwater Q's I had and I got so many pm's I still havent opened them all! I mean we're talking lots and lots. I couldnt possibly get back to everyone in a timely manner.... unless I could sit here for 10 hours straight and do it. Which, like most people here, I cannot.
So, I totally understand your frustration, and know what you're talking about. I went through it all myself. This is why I've come to use pm's and only pm's for trades.

I LOVE the database for listing my coupons and looking at other people's coupons, and I would LOVE the trading feature if it worked right 100% of the time and was faster. It usually works pretty well for me (I've only had a few minor mishaps) but like a PP said, it is just so slow to load for me that it makes it so I don't even want to open the trading tabs.

OK...I feel better now. I didn't know there were some problems with the database. I will try to PM them!
