Trade Etiquette?!?! How long to hold a Q?

I do 48 hrs since I know I sometimes don't make the 24 hrs for whatever reason. If someone leaves their browser open with the page up - does it register as them being online even though they aren't there? But if it's very time sensitive trade for expiration dates or postmark dates then I'll state something.

Usually 48 hours since I know there are times I look at my pm's but they dont always register in my brain that I need to do something with them. LOL

Seriously tho, I see if they have been online. If they have, I send another PM telling them they have 24hrs to respond. After that, move on down the road.

If I see they haven't been online since the initial trade PM, then I'll wait two days. But if they have been online and still haven't written back, I'll give it only 24 hours.

Sooo, if on.line & just don't respond.. I can move on!?!! cuz as cybilx10 stated, what if she's read the pm but just didn't respond? what then? Should we still hold?

And if not on-line, sooo, you've now held the q's for 3+ days? Is that fair to the Seller? As well, what is to stop the other side from then saying - "ooooh, I don't want"... cuz, at a certain point, we just don't know, right? We're kinda being held hostage... or is that the right phrase?

I feel 24 hours, you snooze you lose. But that's just me.
