Please be specific about the coupons you list being "Blinkies"

I can understand the concern though...because most of the places that double coupons do not double some of the blinkies. So it definitely needs to be said.


I have purchased some and when I got them I realized they were blinkies...lucky for me Dillons doesn't give a hoot if they are a blinkie...for doubling purposes..heck they double there own store coupons LOL

I have talk to the manger at my walmart but the blinkie coupons are ones that they are not going to take no matter how much I talk..been over it about 6 times and they still wont take them.

Yes as I said I know they are manufacturere coupons jsut as IP's are but as with IP"S not all stores will take them.....MY Walgreens,Food gaint, and Walmart will not take the blinkie coupons. I am from a small town so other than those and other dollar stores I dont have much choice on where to shop.
And I do ask if coupons are blinkies most of the time, but I feel that any seller needs to describe the coupons fully, espiecally on ebay for all to often those item are bought by last minute bidders that are counting on the description to be fully correct, plus there are pitcures that lead you to think they are regular manufacturer coupons not blinkies. BY saying that blinkies are just manufacturer coupons the coupons are not describe 100% correct, they need to say blinkie manufacturer coupons, not just for me but for others because all to often blinkie coupons can not be doubled.

If you descriped IP's just as manufacturer coupons that would not be correct discription either now would it, so why not say blinkie coupons instead of just manufacturer coupon.

Blinkies can be doubled if they start with 5. There are often lots of versions of a specific blinkie - $0.50/1 DND 5, $0.50/1 DND 9, and $1/2. So if a someone says that they are DND5 without mentioning it's a blinkie, they are still describing it accurately. There are very few stores that do not accept blinkies, so many people don't realize that it's an issue for others.

If you get blinkies as extras or in trains, it might just be an honest mistake. Sometimes it's hard to keep wishlists straight when you're trading a lot. I have probably sent coupons that people can't use as extras, and it is truly an honest mistake.

I only have one store that doesn't accept blinkies IF they do not clearly state manufacturer's coupon on it, but it's a locally owned store and not a chain.

And Amy said what I would have said had she not beat me to it, that any blinkies that you may receive as extras or as part of a random potluck are just par for the course. But even if you can't use them, hopefully you can trade them away for something you can use or use them as extras in a trade.

I've noticed some blinkies I've gotten recently from others do say Manf Coupon on them.
my walmart has given me crap about them before because "they dont say manf coupon anywhere" i dont live too far from OP, so maybe its the walmarts around here

The ones of you that dont understand what I am saying about the blinkies not just being a manufacturer coupon and that the correct way of listing them is by saying this is a blinkie manufacturer coupon, what about the manufacturer coupons that have logo's on them, or IP's being in black & white instead of color.. All of use have different store rules that we have to deal with, like so many cant use coupons with the tiny store logo on them thats why the people that list them say they have a so and so logo on them, and thats why most list store booklet coupons by the store/booklet name.
I only have Freds Dollar store that doubles(on saturday) so blinkies that dont double are not a problem to me its just being able to use blinkies at all. My useing blikies even tho they are manufacturer coupons is like those of you that cant use IP's or coupons with logos on them even tho they are manufacturer coupons.

I am thankfull to have have potlucks but if I get them full of blinkies or store coupons such as target then they are no good to me. Myself I always get one envie at a time ready for the mail so I am only looking at one wishlist at a time so I dont send out a bunch of q's that the person has posted that they have no use for even if they could pass them on to others for I am sending q's that I am hoping that the person that gets the envie from me can use when they shope not that they can just pass on..so if I am looking at your list and its says NO expired coupons I ant going to send them, or if it says no ip's then you wont get them, no pet or baby them I am not going to send them just because I think the person can just pass them on to someone else. I cant always send coupons that are on the list but I an not going to send what the list says you CANT use..

Yes Blinkies are manufacturer coupons but they are also blinkies so why not call them what they are? IP's are manufacturer coupons but call them IP's..

I have had both types and no luck useing either one..

I just wantted to call everyones attion to the fact that not everyone can use blinkies even tho they are manufacturer coupons and that they need to be listed as blinkies just as IP's are IP's, store coupons are as store coupons,booklets as booklets, the ones with logo's say they have store logo's on them and so on....

The way I handle it is to describe everything about the coupon and the fine print also. That way there will be no misunderstanding or hurt feelings. Has been working well for me for 3 years now. And if it is a IP I tell them it will be in black ink only but I don't hardly every trade IP.
