    Default BTFE

I have looked through the faq's and the ettiquette posts and I don't believe anyone has addressed this. I don't keep btfe. I save them for trading so I never recieve them I always send them. What is the best way to send them? (I'm needing suggestions from recievers.) I've taped them in stacks on other sturdy coupons so they are evened out in the envie, I've just thrown them in and taped the envie shut with fingers crossed and I was just contemplating putting them in a plastic baggie in the envie? lmk thanks.

I can just imagine a taped up envie and the reciever having difficulty opening it then pow! btfe confetti!!

I recently sent a bunch of BTFE and what I did was cut a yellow mailer that I had gotten a large trade in, smaller, - it had mailing tape (the wide clear kind) all across it.... anyways I put all the BTFE into that and then folded it around them, taped over the open edges, THEN taped that whole thing into the envelope.... my hope was that if the envie got mangled during mailing that the btfes wouldnt get lost, and also the mailing info would still be attached.....

I put them into small zip loc type bags that I get at the craft store and then into the envie. You could also use the snack size zip loc bags.

The ones that are on cardboard...I peel off as much of the back layer as I can and clip neatly around the edges (thats one thing i'm just anal about LOL) If its a large trade, like 20 or more, I use a sheet of scrap paper and make a mini envelope to fit inside the main mailing envelope, tape up the sides, then the flap so all the btfe are inside. I try to layer the btfe so it doesn't make the mailing envie bulky.
I've also used snack baggies or bank envelopes.

I save the small plastic bags one gets with extra buttons and/or thread when you buy clothing. Anyone who has ever traded BTFE with me gets these small bags. They are the perfect size, hold alot, convinient, and don't take up a lot of space in the envie. I have a stamp collection, and at times I will receive and send the stamps in these small plastic bags also. HTH

Please do not tape them to sheets of paper etc!
I am a coordinator and that has got to be my biggest pet peeve.

As a coordinator, I have to count them out in stacks of 50 and mail them in ziploc bags. If you want to send your trade like that, that is wonderful.
The other suggestions above are great too.

As long as they are not attached to anything that they need to be pryed off, that will do. Even just folding them into an internal blank sheet of paper so they don't get lost if the mail machine mangles them.

And thanks ISIS! for your extra effort in making them pretty. I wish the parents donating would do that too, lol. I am anal and make them pretty before I package them.

our school hands out these forms that you can print from the btfe website & has the kids glue or tape them onto the collection forms. Each form holds ten. You could print out the sheets & trade them already attached to a collection form.

Great ideas I am collecting these as well, wanted to see if there was a way we could add them to our wish list say in the coupon database? Also, how many do you ask for per coupon?

BTFE are in the database so you can add them to your w/l

I think there's a few different ways of trading the BTFEs for coupons. They have a value of .10 to the schools so some people like to trade them like cash at 10% of the face value of the coupon (so one BTFE to one $1 coupon). others just trade one BTFE per coupon. Others just say hey how many do you have and here's what I want. I'm a mix of all three because i get alot of BTFE and I don't need them for my kid's schools so i don't value them very highly.

I save them, but have also used them as trade bait if I want something bad enough. The way I send them (adn like to receive them) is so have them as thin as possible. If they are on cardboard, I peel that off. I trim along the dotted lines as close as I can get. I always send them in a Ziploc snack size bag.
