Trading Ebay Frees Here at HCW & updated info on fraudulent freebie coupons

A very important note as more "ebay" freebies make their way to HCW.

If you bought it on ebay, and it is a freebie that is not an insert coupon, please do not trade it here.
Also, if you traded for a freebie from a source you do not know, please do not trade it here.

We put a lot of time into alerting members about fraudulent coupons in our It's Got To Be Real forum, and we do not want these coupons passed on here, either knowingly or unknowingly. Also, there are always coupons being sold not yet on the list.

I should have also said, that yes of course there are some legit freebies on ebay, but unfortunately, so many of them are from sellers with high multiples of the same ones or sellers that sell a few, wait a while, sell a few more or continually set up new ebay accts to pass off fake frees. So, we really want to get the awareness out that if it seems to good to be true, pass.

Please think 4 times before buying frees on ebay and be sure to do your research first. If you trust it enough to buy it, then use it :)

You know, it occured to me when my DH opened up an ebay account, thats when I got into couponing since I seen 100 coupons for like 1.00. I probed into the FREE's ones and seen TONS going dirt cheap. So I emailed a lady asking what her secret was to getting these (contacting companies, or does she or someone she knows work at a company) Well she sent me about 5 coupons, that I didnt have to buy, they were legit! Then I kept an eye on her auctions and she emailed me back with "secrets" FRAUD!!!!!!! I was not so much as shocked, but how could someone take someone's money for something fake and beable to sleep at night? I know I couldnt. She told me she has a printing press in her town and buys them any kind she wants. I looked at her feedbacks, and noticed she bought alot of the craft hologram tape. So I guess shes graduated into making her own. This is very wrong I told her and havnt heard nothing from her since! So keep a look out on ebay everyone!

I can't remember what board I read the rant but there are some ebay sellers selling free coupons by sending a complaint to the manufacturers in the buyer's behalf. The buyers may be receiving legit free coupons but they did not authorize their name/addy to be sent to manufacturer for fabricated complaints just to get coupons which they paid the seller. Buyers complain when they feel this is a shady tactic to get free coupons from manufacturers.
