Traders, both new and veterans

Important reminder

*To our new traders, please please do not be offended when asked to mail your end first. You have not established yourself as a trader here. Mailing your end first ensures that you will not get overwhelmed and assures the other trader that you are indeed serious about trading.

To our veteran traders, when trading with brand new traders, it is very very important that you remember to have them send their end first. Once it arrives, you mail your end.

Our bad trade mods work so very hard to keep the professional bad traders out, and we all work hard to help new traders learn the ropes. I think the result is pretty fantastic because we have some of the best mods & traders around

Hoewever, when our veteran traders do not hold their ends, and then file bad trade reports, when a new trader decides trading is not for them after 3 days and goes missing, it takes up a LOT of our bad trade mods time to chase down these trades. Please help us all to keep this a great place to trade and to not "crush" our bad trade mods. Do your part & ask for your end to be mailed to you first.

Keep in mind that you should only be trading with members who have Trader or Trader in Training under their member name. In some cases, a member with under 10 posts on the board will not have the trading member title, but are a trading member. You can always check with me (or meggers) and we will be happy to confirm whether or not they are a trading member.

Quick bit of info on feedback:

The Itrader system is only a good tool if the feedback is accurate.

Some do not like to leave feedback for a trade with issues. Yes, you should always try to work out any trade issue before leaving feedback but do not skip the feedback if your trade goes down the wrong road.

Another quick feedback note. Yes, we want honest feedback, however, this does not mean rush to leave a neutral if your potluck envelope or train envelope isnt packed with wishes. If it meets the guidelines set up, they other party cannot help if the cannot pack the envie with wishes. We get quite a few confused newbies who do their best to fill an envelope and work hard to meet guidelines only be to be given poor feedback that isnt deserved.

Forumula Check Trading:
As noted in the trade rules, HotCouponWorld does not allow any trader to trade "in bulk" for formula checks.

We ask that if you are trading for checks, it is for personal use, for family or for donation.

Traders found to be bulk trading for formula checks are removed from the site.

*** PLEASE BE AWARE OF BRAND NEW TRADERS IMMEDIATELY ASKING TO TRADE FOR YOUR FORMULA CHECKS.

I appreciate this reminder so newbies won't get offended when long time traders ask for their end first. Many have recently been hit hard in another board when returning scammers just changed IDs and built a few FBs and went on their scamming spree, once again. ugh.

You can search them via our Memberlist? You can find it at the bottom of every page here on HCW. Search their user name, make sure they're a trader & check their feedback. Ask yourself, "why are they emailing me vs. pm'ing me?" It could a simple mistake because you can send an email or PM via a profile & it's easy to pick the wrong one in there, but still...be cautious & remember, you're not protected under the bad trade process unless they're a trader.

most sell them on ebay for full face value; sometimes bidding goes even higher than face value! I know its crazy but it is, what it is. most of them offer up to 50 to 60 percent of the face value knowing they can sell it for a lot more and still gain profits.

and for those whose checks are sold where buyers happen to be formula company reps, know that your name and ID will be blacklisted so you won't get any more checks. This is the reason why some are wondering why they don't get checks anymore; your checks may likely have been sold to formula reps.
