~~ Trades: Reminders, Tips and Housekeeping

Some friendly reminders to all of our great traders

Bumping:

We have updated the bumping rules! Members can now bump their posts 3 times every 24 hours. Your OP counts as #1 in the first 24 hours.
This should give your posts plenty of opportunity to be seen and get your trades made.

Housekeeping:

The mods need your help to keep this forum up to date and current.

We have a HUGE number of traders on the board, and since we allow unlimited unique posts to be made by each trader each day, that makes for a lot of posts. We want to make sure all posts in here are current.

Make it a point to regularly search for your posts. you can do this by clicking search, advanced search and entering your member name.

If you no longer need/have an item listed, change the title of that post to delete.

although found, traded, gone etc all seem to get the point across, the mods search a few times a day for "delete" posts. that means other words or delete with *** or !!! or ~~~~ do not show up.

We know that each day and even throughout the day,new needs and haves come up. This is why we allow unlimited unique posts per day. If over the course of several days you have several ISO's or several Haves posted, you can start a whole new thread to include all of these things and change the title of the old ones to delete. This way you are only bumping one or 2 posts with everything you have or need. The mods may also merge multiple "have" posts or "iso" posts.

Have Lists belong in the Have List forum:

HCW has a Have List forum found here.

If you have a long list of coupons that you update regularly that are available for trade, this is a "have list". It does need to be listed in the Have List forum. This does not mean you cannot post a short list of coupons you are trying to set up an immediate trade for. This is specifically addressing lists that a member maintains longterm containing all or most of their coupons available for trade.

If your have list is duplicated or posted in the current trades forum, it will be deleted or moved to the HL forum.

Know who you are trading with:


When making a trade with someone, its a good idea to check to make sure they are a member of the Trader User Group here at HCW. If they are, they will have the user rank "TRADER" under their name.

This means they have read and agreed to HCW's trading rules and guidelines.

You can feel free to make a trade with any member you wish. However, if you make a trade with a non trader user group member, we will not mediate a bad trade.

It is a good idea to check the person's Itrader feedback. We don't get a lot of bad traders but that is one of the reasons we have the Itrader system, to protect YOU! Happy trading!

Remember that all posts will be deleted on day 10 of it being inactive in the forum. Posts that have never been bumped, are labeled "quick trade" or iso may be removed on day 7.
