I don't know if I would really call it superstitions but sometimes I find if something bad happens, I tend to avoid certain things like I won't wear the outfit that I wore again because I think it will bring me bad luck. Little things like that.
Are there any superstitions you follow? Are there any really "out there" ones someone close to you follows? What are your thoughts on Friday the 13th? Just another day......... or something else?

God is in control of all things and there is no such thing as superstitions! :)
I don't bother with superstitions myself, but DH's grandmother had all sorts of them. I once got in trouble with her for trying to do what was right!
MIL was in the hospital and we took Grandma to see her daughter. When we walked in, there was a small tree in front of us. Either I had to go around it or Grandma did. Rather than make her walk out of her way, I did what I thought was polite and respectful of her age. DH and Grandma went around one side of the tree and I went around the other. It was the one and only time I saw his grandma that angry with me and I didn't have a clue what I'd done wrong! She believed that a husband and wife should NEVER take different routes around an obstacle. She claimed that meant we would have a fight that day.
Oh, I believe a whole bunch of them.... You can't put a pocketbook, shoes or a hat on the table or the bed because it's bad luck. Can't walk under a ladder, 7 yrs of bad luck for a broken mirror, if a black cat crosses in front of you you have to spit 3 times or you'll have bad luck, pick up only a penny that's heads up not if it's heads down..... I know it's probably stupid but I follow those anyway. :)
Even though I'm an adult, I'm still scared to say Bloody Mary in the bathroom mirror. I'm afraid she will come and kill me or follow me around and then kill me.
I don't have any superstitions.......Is a matter of fact, I find Friday the 13th to be a LUCKY day!.....
My daughter always says she should fall asleep when watching her fave hockey team, cuz that's when they win!.....whenever she makes herself stay awake......they lose.....LOL...poor girl ...
Thanx so much for the chance, Maybe I'll win this one!
I'm not very superstitous but some of my family is.
You raise your feet from the floor when you drive over railroad tracks
You draw a cross on the inside of the car roof when you pass a car with a burned out headlight.
You always walk on the same side of a pole or trashcan or something as the people you're walking with or you'll fight that day.
You never wash clothes on Joan 7th or you'll wash someone outta the family.
I'm sure there are more but those are the only ones I can think of right now.

Not really into superstitions but maybe this might fall in the same category.
When I was in my mid teens, it seemed like I would hear the song "Killing Me Softly" by Roberta Flack whenever something good happened to me. For many years I would get God bumps (goose bumps...) whenever I heard the song played in anticipation of something fun or good to occur. To this day, the song makes me tear up and remind me of those special times in my youth.
aaahhh youth....
where have you gone!!!![]()

I believe Friday 13th can be a good positive fruit-bearing day if you get out there and make the best of it. People tend to stay home and hide to avoid something bad from happening, and they miss out on all the good that this fateful day could bring out.
This Friday 13th marks a positive change for me personally. I have been scheduled an appointment for a document that I have been waiting for for many many years now. So I will consider it a day of NEW BEGINNINGS, positive breakthroughs, opportunities, so get out there and score those great deals and plan to succeed in whatever you put your hands in.
Wish you all a prosperous and happy Friday 13th.
