Superstitions RAOK -DONE

Not really superstitious but I do have a bad habit of knocking on wood when I say something has never happened to me and also throwing salt over my shoulder when I spill some. I guess old habits die hard LOL

Not really into superstitions but maybe this might fall in the same category.

When I was in my mid teens, it seemed like I would hear the song "Killing Me Softly" by Roberta Flack whenever something good happened to me. For many years I would get God bumps (goose bumps...) whenever I heard the song played in anticipation of something fun or good to occur. To this day, the song makes me tear up and remind me of those special times in my youth.

This song came into my head as I opened the thread and then I read this post, so I'm kind of freaked out now.

I always have to have my closet doors closed when I go to sleep. Definately weird to do that still as an adult, but I get uneasy and can't sleep unless they are closed.

I don't have any superstitions but last year, Friday the 13th (May) was a bad day for animals & me. Hope it doesn't repeat itself this year. Prior to the last Friday the 13th, I'd never hit an animal of any kind while driving. Last year, I unfortunately hit 4 different types of animals on my 10 mile drive to work and I had no way of avoiding any of them without causing a wreck. First I hit a snake, then just a little ways down the road I squished an opposum that was crossing the road at a curve, then a robin flew into my windshield & landed on the hood of my van where it stayed for about 4 miles until I braked suddenly to avoid the pack of coyotes that ran out in front of me on the 2 lane road. I couldn't brake fast enough at 60 mph & ended up hitting one of the smaller coyotes. Needless to say, I got to the first place I could park, called my husband to come get me & take me the rest of the way to work. I'm thankful I didn't have any damage to my van other than a small dent in the front bumper from the coyote and the need for a good washing and that I didn't freak out & swerve into the oncoming traffic or a ditch.
