I truly believe that the spirit of Christmas (and any other day for that matter) has to do with how you touch another person's life that day. It's not about what people do for you, it's what you do for others that makes it so magical. So here's how this one works:

This RAOK is different than others. You are not entering to win a prize for yourself, you are entering to win a prize for someone else. I would like for you to choose a person on our board who you think shows what true Christmas spirit is all about, a person who is caring, giving, selfless, thinks about others before themselves.... that kind of person.


So here are the rules:

You may enter more than once, you must leave one post between each of your entries.

You must name the person you wish to nominate and tell us why you have chosen them.

There are two things you must also include in each post to qualify to win:
if you gave them a stocking, what sort of gift would you put in it, (it can be more than one thing) and also if you received a stocking, what do you think would be a nice gift to receive in it would be? It's okay if it's silly, it should be something you like, and I very much enjoy learning more about our wonderful members, so that is the fun part for me :)


What is the prize?
I'm not telling. It's a surprise - could be an envie packed full of coupons, could be something else that I have sitting on my desk for one lucky member :) The winner will be chosen at random on Christmas Eve at noon central time. The prize will be mailed just after Christmas (the 26th or 27th) so that when the person who wins receives their envie/ package/ box (see, I'm not telling!) it will make for an extended Christmas for them!

I think Xufan shows the spirit of Christmas all the time. She is always thinking of others before herself, puts her family first and is an amazing woman.

In a stocking for Xufan I would put a little keepsake box that she could save little things from her kids/grandkids in.

In my own stocking I would love a meat thermometer...yep mine broke and I have to go buy one before Friday.

In her stocking, I would probably give her something related to cats, since I know she likes them. Maybe some treats for her cat and a cute little cat notebook or something :-)

In my stocking, I would like to receive some stickers. I've been obsessing about them lately. LOL!

What a wonderful idea!!

The person I would nominate is Rbunnymom! She is one of the most selfless, generous people I've ever had the honor of getting to know. Anyone who has gotten to know her has become more generous from her actions. She's always willing to answer any question that a member asks. And she always knows when I need to talk!

In her stocking, I'd put a new day-planner...and a gas card! She's a busy woman!!

In my own stocking...well, I could use a couple of pancake/hamburger, whatever flippers! Seriously...I had 3 of them, and 2 have broken in the past week!!

I would like to nominate Meggers. She is always there for anyone, anytime. Truely selfless. (SShhhh!!!! don't tell her anyone, I need to keep up my heathen-ness persona).

I would send her..... I know, I know! .....Okay. I'll pick something else. I'd send her something for her doggies, cause I know how special they are to Meggeroni.


For me? Hmmm. I'd like a picture of a rainbow. Things sure have been rough lately and rainbows make me smile.

The person I would nominate is ScrappyDoo. She listens to me vent about all sorts of things...seems like she never leaves the computer b/c she's always replying so fast! haha
She even sent me a lion leash so I wouldn't lose my niece. I would like for her to get a new scentsy warmer..the small wall plug in would fit in a stocking. She wants one pretty bad. Maybe some scentsy melts to go with it. But, santa wouldn't have to do that. i'd mail her lots of my favorite scents.

In my stocking, I would like a magical pair of scissors. These would just appear whenever I needed scissors. I get very tired of doing the Scissor Search..

I'd like a stocking full of frees! Nothing gets me excited like a good free. :)

The next person I would like to pick is cheynesnana. She have a VERY giving heart and deserves thanks many times over for how wonderful she is.

In her stocking I would put crablegs(if you've been to the dinner thread you know chey LOVES them).

If I have to pick another gift for my stocking, I would pick sewing machine needles...I break far too many sometimes.

I nominate Cheynesnana too!! She's so sweet, always helpful, and has been know to send little surprises out in the mail...just because!

In her stocking, I'd put sunshine (you need it in Michigan!!), smiles (for all the ones she's given me), and a day off from work!

I'll be happy if there's a pair of warm, fuzzy, navy blue socks in my stocking (to wear when I'm watching the games!).
