I recently got 40 FREE prints from snapfish, free shipping too

I redeemed them and got 20 pictures of Pooh and friends and 20 of Toy Story scenes.

I'll put them into a cheap, cheap little photo album for the two year old in my life.

    She'll go nuts over it.

She used to have one of my old wallets, and I'm sure you all know the Chuck e. Cheese coupons...well, I snipped him out and put him in the wallet for a picture of him. She loved it.

What are some other cheap ideas that a two year old would like?

I'll randomly pick a winner Tuesday for a surprise envie from me!

Aww- that's a great idea! I have a 15 month old, so I'm anxious to read the replies as well.

Mine LOVES gift cards- all different colors, and keeps them in his wallet to carry around.

I also made him an album full of family pictures and we look through it all the time. We don't get to see my husband's family much, so I go through their pictures with him and he points to them. He's just learning to talk so it's good for him, but yours probably already knows all of her words.

I was "Googling" for ideas a while back and came across a fun idea for a unique gift. You buy a fun colored set of plastic measuring cups, a dish tub from the dollar store, colored sand and rocks (from a pet store- think fish tank), and other small items and make a sand play station outside. Not a plain ole' one- a PINK (or blue, or whatever) one! :)

I babysit for a little boy going to Montessori school in January. For his Christmas present, I made a set of "Learning Boards" including things like mini-shirts with buttons, velcro, snaps. Little pictures of shoes with real shoe strings. Of course your 2 year old may be too big for all of that, but it's a thought!

    HTH!

One things my little guy loves is letter/number fridge magnets! They are like $1.50 per pack at Wal Mart. I originally got them for the fridge and thought he would like to play with them there. Instead he decided it was best to "cook" them and he "fries" them in one of my old pans several times a day. He also like to put them in a big bowl and stir them with a wooden spoon. I also have a few big, cheap plastic cups that he likes to fill with the letters and "drink" them or pour them from cup to cup.
Proud mom to an adorable two year old little boy!

Please excuse my spelling-my LO is on the loose and just learned how to climb-so I am typing as fast as I can!

How funny about the letter magnets! My kids have a toy blender, and they use ours to make "soup". And it's never alphabet soup.... it's potato or beef stew or something.

Around that age my ds loved gift cards, too. He loved the color red and asked repeatedly for his very own CVS Extra Care Card.

He also loved anything he could line up -- cars, Jenga blocks, anything.

I had a hard time tolerating the resulting mess, but he loved Play-Doh, too.

Every year for christmas, we make hand ornaments. My kids just love this! they get to see how much they grow each year. we make one for all the family members to put on their trees. it's a great gift from the kids and they love making them. we usually just use construction paper, glue, markers and glitter.

I have 6 grandkids aged 4 and under (The three oldest are older.) One of their favorite toys at my house is a small flashlight I got at Walmart for about $2. It makes a tight circle on the ceiling or floor. We sing "Mr. Moon" and they carry it around for a long time. It is a Rayovac and looks like a little pen. A regular flashlight spreads its beam too wide. They always ask for the flashlight when they come; I have two.

I also made a picture album for my own kids when they were little, but I made it a family abc album. We have a large family, so A was for April, B for Brad, C for car, D for Daddy, etc. When there was no family member with a letter, I substituted a picture - E is for Elmo. I don't know whether it helped or not, but my son was already reading when he got to kindergarten, and I didn't even know it!

My son turns 2 on the 27th. One of his favorite things to do is decorate foam bookmarks with foam stickers. I save the bookmarks and give them to family members on special occasions so that they can have a "gift from him". Stickers keep him occupied for quite a while.
